The electronic procedure for the issue of the EPC card is currently valid only for the profession of "Mountain Guide".

Aspirant mountain guides, (mid) Mountain leaders and Volcano guides who have obtained the professional title in a EU member State or in a country outside the European Union and want to practice their activity in Italy, must apply for the recognition of the professional title according to the ordinary procedure filling out the forms available below and sending them to ufficiosport@pec.governo.it.

It is also possible for those who have obtained mentioned professional titles in a country belonging to the European Union to request prior authorization for the temporary exercise of the profession in Italy.

Individuals not established in the European Union or with qualification issued in a country outside the European Union, may apply for recognition of professional qualifications pursuant the Presidential Decree 394/99.

Please note that under Article 53 of Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the 'recognition of professional qualifications', those benefiting from the recognition of professional qualifications must have the necessary language skills to practise the profession in the host Member State.
